Traffic stop leads to DWI charge for Cassadaga woman

A traffic stop Saturday on Route 60 in the Town of Pomfret led to the arrest of a Cassadaga woman for alleged drunk driving, authorities said.

Emily Steinwachs, 24, was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI because of a blood alcohol content of at least .18 percent, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, failure to keep right and driving across hazard markings, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Steinwachs was issued tickets and is due in Pomfret Town Court at a later date.
