CLARK, John J.

CLARK - John J. 77, of Largo, FL, formerly of Troy, NY, passed away December 19, 2015, after losing his battle with cancer. John was educated at St. Mary's Parochial School, LaSalle Military Institute, Catholic Central High School and Hudson Valley Community College. Mr. Clark served four years honorably in the United States Air Force, stationed one year at Ben Guerir, a Strategic Air Command Base in Morocco. Born in Watervliet, NY, the son of Mary E. Clark, Mr. Clark's last years in the Air Force were spent in the Buffalo, NY area, where he remained upon his discharge. He worked for several candy and tobacco companies there. He was proud of being the Troy, NY Class B Pocket Billiards Champion at Eddie White's Billiard Hall in 1955. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He loved to travel and was able to see almost all of the United States, as well as 13 countries overseas. While he resided most of his life in Buffalo, his heart always remained in Troy. He is survived by the love of his life, Phyllis Levine. Burial will be at Bay Pines VA National Cemetery on December 30.
