Free rabies vaccination clinic scheduled on Jan. 27

A free rabies vaccination clinic will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at the North Buffalo Community Center, 203 Sanders Road.

The clinic will be the first of six to be provided by the Erie County Department of Health in 2016. Other clinics will be held in May and September, with details to be announced later.

In 2015, more than 4,700 dogs, cats and ferrets were vaccinated through the free clinics offered by the county, which identified 34 animals that tested positive for rabies in 2015, including a cat that had not been vaccinated.
