Three startups move into Innovation Center

Three startups with a total of eight employees have moved into the Thomas R. Beecher Jr. Innovation Center on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

The companies moved in December into space on the fourth floor in the Innovation Center Suites and will have access to dig, the center’s co-working space, on the building’s first floor. They join the more than 100 companies located in the building on Ellicott Street.

The center’s newest tenants, according to the organization that operates the medical campus, are:

• Talking Pictures, which has developed Pixstori, a social-media mobile app that mixes together photos, text and audio to easily share stories using digital tools. The company will have four employees in the center.

• Robb Surgical Devices, a maker and distributor of surgical and medical devices, which will have three workers in the center.

• CAI Global, a New York public health nonprofit that is setting up an office in the Innovation Center to work with the Erie County Health Department and the University at Buffalo Primary Care Research Institute to reduce teen pregnancy in the county. One employee will work in the center.
