LOCKPORT – A North Tonawanda man may be headed to state prison after pleading guilty Wednesday to his fourth driving while intoxicated offense in the last nine years.
Christopher C. Sprigg, 43, of Ohio Street, risks as long as four years behind bars. “I don’t know what I’m going to do with you,” said State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr., who scheduled sentencing for Feb. 24. He did say the sentence he chooses will run concurrently with one for Sprigg’s violation of the terms of his probation for his last DWI conviction, which occurred in 2012 in Erie County.
Sprigg also has DWIs from 2006 and 2009 in Niagara County. In the latest case, he was pulled over Sept. 9 in North Tonawanda. He told Kloch he downed seven or eight beers before driving.
