Ch.7's year of change begins on New Year's Eve

The year 2016 is expected to be one of change at Channel 7 and it is going to start with its annual New Year’s Eve activities that run in addition to ABC's national New Year's Eve program.

The Channel 7 program already was going to look different because co-anchor Joanna Pasceri left the station earlier this month. In addition, 97 Rock's Larry Norton, who has been part of the program for years, retired earlier this month. He is being replaced by 97 Rock's Dave Jickster.

Channel 7 Co-anchor Keith Radford also won’t be a part of the program for the first time in 28 years because his son is getting married in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day and he wouldn’t be able to make the wedding if he worked here on New Year’s Eve.

In the place of Pasceri and Radford will be Katie Morse and Ed Drantch, who work Channel 7’s morning program together, and weather anchor Mike Randall.

Channel 7 still hasn’t announced the hiring of CTV’s Ashley Rowe as Pasceri’s replacement. Rowe isn’t expected to begin work at Channel 7 until sometime in January.
