Here are some weekend events for the family.
Olaf and Princess Anna will be at Monkey See, Monkey Do Bookstore (9060 Main St., Clarence) from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 26. They will read the latest Frozen book, “Olaf and his Friends.” They’ll have other activities for the kids as well. The event is free.
So you and the kids had your fill of holiday food and desserts? How about a nice long walk in the woods? Head over to Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve (93 Honorine Drive, Depew) at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 26 for its holiday walk. Great for all ages. Cost is $5 per person.
Or you can head over to Tifft Nature Preserve (1200 Fuhrmann Blvd.) for a Hot Chocolate Hike from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 27. Take a nice walk and then warm up with delicious hot cocoa and music in the cabin. Preregistration is required by calling 825-6397. Event is for ages 5 to adult. Cost is $6 per person.
Explore & More Museum (300 Gleed Ave., East Aurora) will be open every day during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Let your kids play and learn with hands-on exhibits and plenty of fun. The museum also will have special light-inspired activities in the workshop room from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Explore & More is great for all ages, including babies. Admission is $7.
