Fire breaks out at Keystone Street house

A fire caused about $35,000 in damages to an apparently vacant home on the city’s East Side on Tuesday morning.

The blaze at 109 Keystone St., near Walden and Bailey avenues, started on the first floor, according to the Buffalo Fire Department.

The fire, which was reported to be under control at about 9:42 a.m., caused some damage to the 1½-story home’s second floor.

The cause is under investigation.
