Woman gets misdemeanor plea in Leandra’s Law case

LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls woman who drove drunk with her 6-year-old daughter as her passenger was allowed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated Friday in State Supreme Court.

Kimberly E. Woods, 38, of 21st Street, is to be sentenced Feb. 26 by Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. Woods’ blood-alcohol content was measured at .16 percent, twice the legal threshold for intoxication, when Niagara Falls police stopped her car Nov. 28, 2013.
