Falls man risks 16 years in prison if he can’t kick drug habit

LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man pleaded guilty to two felonies Thursday in State Supreme Court, risking a maximum of 16 years in state prison if he fails in the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment.

Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. heard DeJuan R. Savage, 26, of North Avenue, plead guilty to third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Savage admitted selling cocaine earlier this year and entering a Niagara Falls apartment May 15 in what Assistant District Attorney Laura T. Bittner said was a domestic violence case.
