Middleport man sentenced for running marijuana-growing operation

A man who operated a marijuana-growing farm at his home in Middleport was sentenced in federal court to 30 months in prison, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced Thursday.

Paul F. Guzock, 58, of Drum Road, was arrested in July 2012 after Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies seized an estimated 341 marijuana plants, as well as several firearms. Guzock pleaded guilty in August to maintaining drug-involved premises and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking.

Guzock was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny.
