Three arrested in a raid on a Yorkshire meth lab

YORKSHIRE – Two men and a woman were arrested during a multi-agency raid Wednesday on an alleged methamphetamine laboratory operation in the Town of Yorkshire. Alexander S. Toepfer, 25; Richard I. Fancher, 21; and Rachelle S. Fancher, 19, were all taken into custody at an address on West Yorkshire Road in Yorkshire by officers of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task force and the Wyoming County Drug Task Force which are both continuing an investigation of meth operations in the Southern Tier.

All three suspects, who had been among the subjects of the investigation, were charged with felony counts of third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. After morning arraignments in Freedom Town Court all three were remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in Little Valley in lieu of $1,000 bail each. Precursors of a meth lab were found in the West Yorkshire Road home occupied by the three suspects. Wednesday’s raid involved assistance from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, the Arcade Village Police Department and the New York State Police. The state police unit cleaned up the suspects’ home after all needed evidence was removed to ensure no accidental meth-caused explosions or fires were ignited there, officials said.
