Niagara Falls man admits having drugs in County Jail

LOCKPORT – A man who was found to have marijuana and Suboxone in his Niagara County Jail cell pleaded guilty to a felony Wednesday in Niagara County Court.

Michael A. Quarcini, 42, of Eighth Street, Niagara Falls, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted first-degree promotion of prison contraband, and was scheduled for sentencing Feb. 10 by Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.

A search of Quarcini’s cell March 21 turned up the drugs, although it was uncertain how they got there.
