Gerry man charged with firing handgun without a permit

GERRY – A Gerry man has been charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon for firing a handgun outside his house without a pistol permit, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.

Charles R. Lampman Sr., 66, was arrested late Sunday after neighbors complained about gunfire that night outside his house in the 3300 block of Salisbury Road. He faces a Gerry Town Court appearance.
