Brockport man sentenced on guilty plea in ecstasy case

A Brockport man was sentenced to six months of home confinement and two years of supervised release Wednesday by Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny on his guilty plea in an ecstasy drug case.

Gerrit Mora, 22, who received credit for time served, pleaded guilty on Aug. 6 to conspiracy to distribute ecstasy, also known as Molly or MDMA. On March 7, 2014, Mora picked up a package of the drug he had mailed to Niagara Falls from Brussels, Belgium. When pulled over for a traffic stop in West Seneca, police found the package containing almost 9 ounces of the drug, authorities said.
