Here’s my suggestions for a uniquely Buffalo Twelve Days of Christmas, one delicious gift a day until Christmas Eve. Traditionally the 12 days of gift-giving follow Christmas, but this way you’ll have plenty of time to prepare.

•    Three Chongqing-style chicken dishes from China Star

When it’s cold outside, I can’t think of a dish to get you sweating faster than Chongqing style chicken with roasted chiles ($12.95).

In this classic Sichuan-style dish, garlic and ginger are sautéed with crispy chicken pieces with an eye-popping amount of roasted chiles and Sichuan peppercorns. The crunchy, spicy popcorn chicken bits nestled among the chiles are addictive and delicious.
