Normal Avenue fire causes $170,000 in damage

The Red Cross is assisting two adults after a West Side home sustained $170,000 in damage from an early morning fire.

The blaze at 191 Normal Ave. broke out at 3:16 a.m. Friday, according to the Buffalo Fire Department.

While the cause is under investigation, officials said the fire began on the first floor and extended to the second floor and attic.

There were no reported injuries.
