CAMBRIA – The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office released the names of four people involved in Thursday’s crash on Saunders Settlement Road that involved a car, SUV and tractor.
The sheriff’s office said a westbound vehicle struck the tractor, also headed west on the shoulder of the road, then crossed into the eastbound lane and hit the other vehicle head-on. It happened at about 5:05 p.m.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was identified as Ryan Kinder, 36, of Newfane. He was transported by Mercy Flight to the Erie County Medical Center and was listed in fair condition early Friday afternoon.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle was identified as Sheila Howard, 39, of Wheatfield. She was transported by Mercy Flight to ECMC and was listed in good condition.
Her passenger, identified as Geoffrey Howard, 45, of Wheatfield, was taken by ambulance to ECMC and was listed in good condition.
A juvenile involved the crash was not identified, but was taken to Women & Children’s Hospital. It was not clear the extent, if any, of the juvenile’s injuries.
William Fronczak, 65, of Cambria, was operating the tractor and was uninjured.
An investigation into the crash is continuing, the sheriff’s office said.
