Massachusetts Avenue Project gets $385,000 grant

The Massachusetts Avenue Project has received $385,000 for the Farmhouse Community Food Training and Resource Center.

The program will build an 11,413-square-foot, multi-use community space on the West Side that will house a commercial teaching kitchen, a training space and library, increased cold and dry food storage, office space and one unit of affordable housing.

In a separate award, the Friends of Corpus Christi has received $50,000 to complete a master plan for the campus, which consists of five buildings and an urban green space over a three-block area centered at the church at 199 Clark St. on the East Side.

Both grants came from the Western New York Regional Economic Development Council.
