Small plane with possible landing gear problems lands safely

A small private plane made a safe landing Thursday morning at Buffalo Niagara International Airport after reporting its landing gear may have been stuck in the down position.

The Buffalo-bound plane – which departed from White Plains and had two crew members and five passengers aboard – reported the trouble at about 8:46 a.m., according to Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority spokesman C. Douglas Hartmayer. The situation was reported to be cleared at 9:06 a.m., Hartmayer said.
