Landmark Wealth Management’s managing partner and co-founder Brian K. Laible was selected as a recipient of the American Institute of CPAs “Standing Ovation” for achievement in personal financial planning. In January, Laible will attend the AICPA Advanced PFP Conference in Las Vegas, where he will be formally recognized by the acting chair of the AICPA PFP Executive Committee, Lyle Benson. He will also be recognized on the AICPA website and in media publications.


PLANT WNY, the trade association for the professional landscape and nursery trades, honored Sally Cunningham as its 2015 Person of the Year at its recent annual harvest dinner. Cunningham, a Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional, lecturer, author, and consultant at Lockwood’s Greenhouses, is a former Cornell Cooperative Extension agent and Master Gardener leader. She co-founded and directed the National Garden Festival of Buffalo (now blended with Garden Walk Buffalo Niagara) and is also a weekly Buffalo News columnist, Buffalo Spree Magazine writer, and has appeared weekly for 20 years on WIVB with gardening advice.

ACM Medical Laboratory, has joined HEALTHeLINK, Western New York’s clinical information exchange, as a data source. Recent laboratory results from ACM’s patient service centers in Albion, Batavia, Cuba and Olean can now be securely accessed via HEALTHeLINK by more than 3,400 participating physicians. Nearly 100 percent of laboratory results generated in Western New York hospitals and independent laboratory centers are currently available to participating physicians through HEALTHeLINK. ACM, an affiliate of Rochester Regional Health System, is a clinical and pathology laboratory providing high-quality diagnostic testing services for physicians, hospitals, employers, and other health care providers and the patients they serve.


The Staroba Group, home of EcoStar LLC, achieved more than 1,825 days of no lost time from work. The milestone marked five years of production at the plastics manufacturing facility in Western New York without an OSHA recordable safety incident resulting in lost time from work. The Staroba Group is comprised of four companies located in Holland that include: Staroba Plastics, K&M Custom Mold and Machining, Buffalo Polymer Processors, and EcoStar LLC.


Delaware North’s region gaming destinations collected 128,618 cans of food to feed hungry residents in their communities, as part of “100,000 Cans of Care” campaign, a two-month campaign to mark the company’s 100th anniversary. The nearly 129,000 cans were recently donated to local food banks in each gaming location’s region. In Western New York, Hamburg Gaming collected 1,646 cans of food for the Food Bank of Western New York. Player reward members who donated a canned good received an entry into a weekly drawing for a $50 grocery gift card.
