Carol V. Faso, of Elma, died Tuesday after a long battle with cancer. She was 59.
A lifelong resident of Western New York, the former Carol Drzymala graduated from Hilbert College and worked for seven years as corporate manager of the legal department for BlueCross BlueShield, and then in accounting for Charles P. Faso Inc.
She received national recognition for “Excellence in Law Department Management” for her development and implementation of a regulatory database that monitored assignments and provided accessibility to clients.
Mrs. Faso was an avid golfer, bowler and volleyball player.
She is survived by her husband, Charles P. Faso; two sons, Jonathan and Justin Lynch; her stepchildren, Kim Tucker, Sandra Shady and Charles Faso Jr.; a sister, Marcia Dombrowski; and nine grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Gabriel Church, 5271 Clinton St., Elma.
