The profane Canadian comedy group, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles of the “Trailer Park Boys,” close out their Northeast “Dear Santa” tour with a stop at 8 p.m. Dec. 15 in Shea’s Performing Arts Center (646 Main St.).
The “Trailer Park Boys” was the brainchild of Mike Clattenburg, who wrote and directed the 1998 short mockumentary film “One Last Shot,” starring Robb Wells as Ricky and John Paul Tremblay as Julian. The principals returned the following year for the first “Trailer Park Boys” feature film, which drew the interest of producers as a regular series in Canada. Mike Smith was added to the cast as Bubbles, and “The Trailer Park Boys” enjoyed a seven-season run (and several more films) before moving to Netflix last year. The series has become a cult favorite over the years.
The live show at Shea’s features Bubbles trying to spread the true meaning of Christmas to the world, while Julian looks for a quick-rich scheme and Ricky searches for the real Santa Claus.
Tickets range from $26.50 to $51.50 (box office, Ticketmaster). Visit sheas.org.
