The Pub, a full-scale restaurant, has opened at the Wegmans supermarket in Amherst's Transit Plaza.
It's open for lunch and dinner, serving steaks and cocktails as well as the sandwiches and salads more commonly found at supermarket food operations.
Appetizers include fried calamari ($9), chicken wings ($10) and Buffalo shrimp ($9), a lineup of salads ($11-$14) including an iceberg wedge with blackened steak ($13), and entrees from a portobello mushroom "steak" ($12) to strip steak and fries ($21) and seared scallops ($24) with green bean and bulgur salad and bouillabaisse.
