Salvation Army gets grant to help families with utility bills

For the fifth year, the Salvation Army Buffalo Area Services has received a grant of $10,000 from the Dominion Foundation, a charitable branch of the gas pipeline company Dominion Transmission, to help families and individuals who do not have the money to pay their utility bills. Last year the grant assisted 33 families.

The grant will be distributed through the Salvation Army’s Emergency Family Assistance program. Each qualifying family or individual can receive funding of up to $300.
