Suspect in double homicide during Jamestown break-in arrested in Olean

JAMESTOWN – The man suspected of committing a double homicide during the break-in of a home on Barrows Street Tuesday morning was arrested by Olean police who stopped his 2009 Chevrolet Impala early Tuesday afternoon, authorities said..

Alan P. Witruke, 51, is believed to have fatally shot two residents of the home who confronted him about 8:17 a.m. Tuesday. The names of the victims have not been released.

Witruke, whose address was not released, was returned to Jamestown and quetioned by homicide detectives. He was expected to be arraigned in Jamestown City Court. The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office has not revealed what charges he will face.
