WORLD AIDS DAY EVENT: Native American Organizations will host a World AIDS Day Education Event to promote avoiding and treatment of the HIV virus, at noon Wednesday at Independent Living of Niagara County’s Haeberle Plaza offices, 746 Portage Road, Niagara Falls. A catered lunch will be served at noon followed by a series of speakers from 1 to 4 p.m.

TOY DRIVE: The Buffalo Junior Sabres will host a toy drive for pediatric cancer patients at Roswell Park Cancer Institute at Wednesday’s home game, which starts at 7:35 p.m. in the rink on the seventh floor at HarborCenter, 100 Washington St. Fans who donate a gift or donate $5 will receive free admission to a future Buffalo Junior Sabres game of their choice. Free-will donations also will be accepted.

CHRISTMAS PARTY: The Committee for Hope will sponsor a Christmas party for Niagara County foster families from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rapids Theatre, 1711 Main St., Niagara Falls.

SATELLITE OFFICE HOURS: A staff member from the office of Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, will hold remote office hours from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hanover Town Hall, 68 Hanover St., Silver Creek, to answer questions and address concerns that his constituents may have, including Social Security benefits and Medicare, as well as interacting with federal agencies including Veterans Affairs.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT: The Lockport Chorale and Lockport Community Band present their annual Christmas concert – which includes songs both classic and modern, a sing-along and the Hallelujah Chorus – at 7 p.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. All are welcome. A free-will offering may be made. A reception in the church’s fellowship hall will follow the concert.

FREE CONCERT: The Niagara River Explorers will present a free concert from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Church, 1419 Falls St. at Portage Road, Niagara Falls.
