NIAGARA FALLS – State police charged two men following a traffic stop on Niagara Falls Boulevard at 10 a.m. Saturday when they found cocaine and marijuana in the vehicle.
The driver, Derek A. Mort, 22, of Niagara Falls, was charged with moving from a lane unsafely and operating a motor vehicle without a seat belt. He was additionally found in possession of two grams of cocaine, according to a police report, and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
His passenger, Brandon J. Joyce, 22, was found with a pipe containing marijuana and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Mort was held pending arraignment in Niagara Falls City Court and Joyce was issued an appearance ticket.
