Beauts fall to Whale in Connecticut

The Buffalo Beauts fell to 1-6-1 on the season with a 3-2 shootout loss to the Connecticut Whale on Sunday in Stamford, Conn.

In the shootout all three Whale shooters scored, with Kelly Babstock, Jessica Koizumi and Kelli Stack all getting the puck past Amanda Makela.

Connecticut had tied the game with 25 seconds to go in the third period with a goal from Kaleigh Fratkin. Their other goal came from Sam Faber.

Buffalo got on the board early when Meghan Duggan scored 51 seconds into the opening period and Shelby Bram made it 2-0 in the second period.

The Beauts are off until Dec. 20, when they play the Boston Pride at the Harvard Bright-Landry Center.
