Pride wins wild game over Beauts

The Boston Pride produced five first-period goals and snapped a three-game losing streak by holding on for a 7-6 victory over the Buffalo Beauts in National Women’s Hockey League action Saturday night at the Harvard Bright-Landry Center.

Buffalo’s Devon Skeats, the league’s reigning player of the week, struck for the first hat trick in franchise history.

Boston improved to 4-3-0 while the Beauts, outshot by 50-21, fell to 1-5-1.
