Tagliarino - Phyllis R. Tagliarino, Phyllis R., 95, of Tampa, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Dec. 3. She was born Philomena Izzo in Buffalo, New York, one of 6 children of an Italian immigrant family. During WWII she was a riveter on war planes. She moved to Tampa in 1989. She was a talented artist, ceramist and chef and an avid Rummikub player. After her husband's death in 1997, Phyllis gave her time as an usher for 5 years at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, where she enjoyed the Christmas party the best. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Frank. She is survived by 5 children, Salvatore A Tagliarino, Charles F Tagliarino, Anida P Bruce, Frank V Tagliarino, Jr., and Marian A Tagliarino; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, on Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tampa, FL; on Wednesday, Dec. 9. Services entrusted to Gonzalez Funeral Home, 813-931-1833.
