Laptops, cash and credit cards stolen in Falls car break-ins

NIAGARA FALLS – Two laptop computers were stolen in car break-ins Friday, including one that contained medical information for home-care patients.

A Youngstown woman told police that her car was broken into before 7 a.m. Friday while parked in the 2700 block of Monroe Avenue. The vehicle was ransacked and her laptop – which contained personal medical information – was stolen. The estimated loss was $4,000.

A Seventh Street man told police that his car was broken into between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Friday while parked in the 2400 block of Niagara Avenue. Stolen were a laptop and money and credit cards from his wallet, police said. The loss was estimated at $1,692.
