Suspect charged in misuse of bank card

PENDLETON – A 23-year-old Niagara Falls man was arrested by investigators from the State Police Bureau of Criminal investigations Thursday for allegedly using someone else’s lost bank card to make at least 16 recent purchases of goods totalling more than $1,700. Joseph Boisvert was charged with second-degree identity theft, fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree forgery.

State Police said he found the bank cards in a Pendleton gas station parking lot in September and from Sept. 29 until at least Oct. 6 was using it to make purchases. He faces proceedings Wednesday in Pendletown Town Court.
