MusicalFare cancels show, hosts tribute to music director

The local theater community is in mourning for Michael Hake, the veteran Buffalo music director who died Dec. 3 after suffering a massive heart attack the evening before at the age of 52.

MusicalFare Theatre has canceled tonight's (Dec. 3) performance of "Pageant," in which Hake performed for the last time as music director on Dec. 2. In lieu of the performance, the theater is inviting members of the theater community and Hake's many friends and colleagues to raise a toast to him at  7 p.m. in the lounge at MusicalFare Theatre.
