Convenience store manager discovers employee thefts

NIAGARA FALLS – A convenience store manager told city police on Wednesday that an investigation of footage from her store security cameras found that thousands of dollars in thefts were not from shoplifters, but from her own employees.

No arrests have been reported in the ongoing investigation at the 2300 Hyde Park Boulevard.

One employee allegedly stole from the store over 20 times in the past three months, by voiding purchases and taking the cash.

Two other employees in the same store were also viewed on the security video taking items without paying for them or giving away products to friends.
