Bicyclist arrested in heroin possession

Tyler Vandebogart, a 23-year-old Lancaster man who allegedly called attention to himself as he was bicycling Tuesday in the Eastern Hills Mall parking lot in Clarence, was arrested by State Police after he was stopped for questioning.

He was allegedly found to have two bundles of heroin in his jacket pocket and a hypodermic needle containing heroin residue. He was booked on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle and ordered to appear in Clarence Town Court for proceedings later this month.
