Becker Farms is a fall family destination

If you’re looking for a fabulous fall family destination, consider taking a trip to Niagara County. Becker Farms is a fifth generation, family owned farm. The 340-acre working fruit and vegetable farm lets you get up close and personal to Mother Nature.

Whether you want to pick whatever fruit is in season – right now they have pumpkin and apple picking available – hang out with some farm animals, or go for a wagon ride, Becker Farms is a great place to do it.

The farm is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – with special hours for certain events. It is a popular destination for field trips. The kids, their parents and teachers make their way through the petting zoo where they get a chance to pet, feed and learn about goats, chickens and more. The kids love picking their own pumpkins and putting apples into their own carry sacks to take home. The tour of a real barn and a wagon ride will keep the kids laughing and learning – as the guide talks about the history of apples and life on the farm.

The farm also has several restaurants and a store where you can buy everything from jam to cider to homemade fudge! The annual Pumpkin Fiesta happens every weekend through October. For $8 for kids and $5 for adults, you can enjoy live music, pony rides, a sing-along, bounce house and much more.

Becker Farms is located at 3724 Quaker Road in Gasport. It’s a place that is great for nature lovers of all ages. You can find more information at beckerfarms.com. Prices vary depending on exactly what you’re looking for, but the petting zoo is free during the week.
