Recycling of unwanted electronics coming up in Lewiston

LEWISTON – The Town of Lewiston Highway Department will accept unwanted electronics for recycling from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at the highway garage, 1445 Swann Road.

This is a free service for Town and Village of Lewiston residents. To make a drop off you must bring a valid identification or a copy of a utility bill to show proof of residency.

Electronics that will be accepted include televisions, DVD player, computers, printers, fax machines, microwaves and small kitchen appliances, as well as lamps, hair dryers, window fans and hand-held power tools.

They will not accept air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, light bulbs, or batteries, nor will they take hazardous materials such as paints, chemicals, liquids and powders.
