More than 150 participants ignored the drizzle Monday evening and took part in an exercise class and pep rally on the turf at Ralph Wilson Stadium, kicking off the third round of the Independent Health and Buffalo Bills Health & Wellness Challenge.
Marlon Kerner, the Bills director of alumni, and Dr. Michael W. Cropp, president and chief executive officer of Independent Health, encouraged the group to engage in healthy activities. Instructors from the YMCA led them through a variety of exercises. The Challenge promotes well-being by offering prizes for those who meet daily exercise and lifestyle goals and complete extra-point challenges. It continues through Nov. 15. Grand prize is a trip for four to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii on Feb. 1.
Similar “Monday Night Fitness” programs will be held at the stadium or, in case of bad weather, in the nearby ADPRO Sports Training Center throughout the Challenge. Registration is available online at buffalobills.com/thechallenge.
