NIAGARA FALLS – An interfaith prayer service as part of Mental Illness Awareness Week will be held at 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 822 Cleveland Ave.
The event will be hosted by Community Missions and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, two of the area’s largest mental health service providers.
The purpose of Mental Illness Awareness Week is to raise public awareness about mental illness and break down the attached stigma that often discourages people from seeking help when needed.
The service is open to the public, with light refreshments to follow. For more information, contact the Rev. Mark Breese at 285-3403, Ext. 2259 or email@example.com.
