Eichel will get chance alongside Kane for Sabres in Ottawa

The Sabres are planning to use Jack Eichel alongside Matt Moulson this season. But the preseason is a time to experiment, and Buffalo wants to see how Eichel's skills mesh with Evander Kane.

Buffalo's top draft pick will skate in the middle of Kane and right wing Tyler Ennis on Saturday when the Sabres play in Ottawa. The 7 p.m. game is radio only on WGR-AM 550.

The Sabres are 2-1 in the exhibitions after a 6-4 victory in Toronto on Friday. Ryan O'Reilly, who has centered Ennis and Kane throughout training camp, got a chance to play alongside brother Cal. Highlights are below.

The Sabres' lineup for Saturday includes numerous prospects, but that trend is coming to an end as Rochester's training camp starts Monday.
