Kevin Gaughan has added a fellow citizen activist to the group of people who he’d like at a debate on the merits of upsizing the Hamburg Town Board.
Barbara Rogers led the drive to collect petitions asking the Town Board to hold a referendum on increasing the size of the board to five members.
After Gaughan challenged the three board members to a debate on upsizing, Rogers told The Buffalo News she would like to challenge some of Gaughan’s views on downsizing.
And now Gaughan has asked the Town Board to include Rogers, a Common Cause member, in any forum held on downsizing. He sent a lengthy letter to her addressing some of the points she made in the article in The News.
Gaughan said he has not heard back from Town Board members, and said in letters to them that he will call them Monday to find out their views on holding the debate, and including Rogers.
