Native American performance is part of Harvest Festival in Lewiston

LEWISTON – Earth Voices of the Great Spirit, a celebration of traditional and contemporary Native American culture, will be held from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Lewiston Peace Garden, 476 Center St.

Music, drumming and children’s activities, as well as arts and crafts, will celebrate the Native-American heritage and offer a deeper appreciation of the culture in this binational area. The event is in conjunction with the Lewiston Harvest Festival.

Everyone is welcome to join in with the drum circles and storytelling, as well as the music, which ranges from the Iroquois Marching Band to contemporary rock-and-roll from Native American musicians.

The event is presented by the Lewiston Council on the Arts and sponsored by the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.
