Cornerstone Manor receives grant for Reading Library Center

An $8,500 grant from the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo will help prepare children for school through the Shape-A-Space Reading Library Center at Cornerstone Manor, officials from Buffalo City Mission announced.

The funds will provide a moveable library book cart and browser box, 35 educational book sets, 24 themed box sets of learning materials, as well as phonics resources and other materials to improve reading skills of at-risk prekindergarten children. The center will assist about two-dozen youngsters with early vocabulary and literacy development.
