The Clarence Hollow Scarecrow Festival takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in and around the Farmers Market, 10717 Main St. Featured will be a scarecrw-making contest, a pumpkin decorating contest, a kids’ lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hollow Bistro, 10641 Main St.; music by the Suzuki Violinists of WNY at 1 p.m. at the Asa Ransom House, 10529 Main St.; and a sidewalk sale along Main Street.

This week:

• A community flu clinic hosted by County Legislator Ed Rath and Rite-Aid Pharmacy will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday in the auditorium at Town Hall, One Town Place off Goodrich Road. Those attending should bring their health insurance cards. Shots are covered by most insurance plans. For more information, call 858-8676 or email Edward.rath@erie.gov.

• Guest speaker Sarah Mansouri of Dragonfly Studio and Salon will outline salon and spa services at a Clarence Chamber of Commerce A.M. Networking session from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday in Clarence Pizza Company, 6235 Goodrich Road. All are welcome.

• The Town Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, One Town Place off Goodrich Road, following a work session at 6 p.m.

• The Meet in the Center Fall Festival brings a variety of activities to the heart of Clarence Center at Clarence Center and Goodrich roads from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday. Attractions include food, wine tasting, hayrides, a petting zoo, artisans and live music.
