The outdoor Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday in Veterans Park.

In addition to a craft show, there will be food concessions, a chowder cook-off, games, a pumpkin patch, baked goods, hayrides, and other activities.

The festival is held annually by the city’s Recreation Department to raise funds for park improvements and equipment.

Crafters and activities will be set up along the grass next to the main road through the park.

The Fire Department’s “Fire Prevention Week” and open house will coincide with the Fall Festival.

This week:

• East Niagara Street, between East Avenue and Carney Street, will be down to one traffic lane beginning Thursday through the end of the year due to a land remediation project, city police said in a news release. Jersey barriers along with temporary traffic signals will be placed at both ends of the closure to allow traffic flow, alternating one direction at a time.
