Nicole D. Mercer and Raymond M. Pannullo were married at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, in Niagara Falls State Park, Niagara Falls. Guests gathered for a reception at Red Coach Inn, Niagara Falls. The bride’s brother, Michael J. Mercer of Buffalo, an ordained minister with Universal Life Church, heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Margaret and Lawrence Dettelis of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and the late Johnny M. Mercer of Smyrna, Tenn. The bridegroom’s parents are Raymond and Carol Pannullo of Largo, Fla., and Susan Pannullo of Buffalo. The bride, a graduate of Cooper City High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from the University at Buffalo. The bride is an assistant to the chairman in the Department of Physics at UB. The groom, a graduate of West Seneca West Senior High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from SUNY Buffalo State. He is employed at United Parcel Service. The couple will take a honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in November. They live in Cheektowaga.
