The Recycling Olympics, featuring snowshoeing demonstrations, simulated fly fishing, nature crafts, exhibits and costumed characters, will highlight the 15th annual Fall Festival to be held Saturday at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve, Depew, the state Department of Environmental Conservation reported.
The event at the 93 Honorine Drive preserve runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also featured are music, forest fire fighting, wild bird rehabilitation demonstrations and a visit by Smokey Bear.
Displays will be offered by the DEC, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Buffalo Zoo, Messinger Woods and others. A full list of activities are available at http://www.dec.ny.gov/education/68006.html.
