Depew man cut and punched in Lower West Side robbery

A 32-year-old Depew man was cut with a razor blade and punched in the mouth during a street robbery on Buffalo’s Lower West Side, Central District police reported late Wednesday.

The victim told police that a man wearing an orange T-shirt and blue jeans approached him, demanded his money, put him in a headlock, took out a razor blade and cut him under the chin. After taking $40 cash out of the victim’s pocket, the assailant punched him in the mouth, according to police reports.

Police also are looking for two other males who were with the robber. The incident occurred on Busti Avenue, near Hudson Street.
