Dorothy M. “Toni” Woodworth, of Clarence, an interior designer and fashion model who was active in the Girl Scouts, died Tuesday in Beechwood Nursing Home, Getzville. She was 82.
Born in Buffalo, the former Dorothy Tronolone attended Mount Mercy Academy and was a graduate of Buffalo Seminary. She attended Simmons College in Boston, Mass., and graduated from the University at Buffalo with a degree in business.
Mrs. Woodworth worked in commercial and residential interior design and sales for William H. Prentice Inc. and William P. Mulhall Interiors. She also did administrative work for the family dental practice. In midlife, she became a model, working with Javance Model and Talent Management, and pursued a professional singing career.
Active in community activities, she was a member of the Erie County Youth Board, the Citizens Advisory Committee on Curriculum for Clarence Schools and the Town of Clarence Ethics Board.
She also was a Girl Scout leader and led troops from Brownies through the Senior Scouting program. She served as chairwoman of an International Campout.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, fashion, politics, travel, boating at the Buffalo Launch Club and swimming.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Dr. Donald F.; two sons, Donald F. Jr. and Edward; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday in Amigone Funeral Home, 8440 Main St. near Harris Hill Road, Clarence, following visitation at 4 p.m.
